Dior Addict Ultra-Gloss 686 Outrageous Fuschia

dior addict ultra-gloss was my first high-end lipgloss

in fact, it was actually one of my first high end makeup items that i own

thus, it holds a special place in my heart

 

it really does feel special whenever i hold a dior-addict tube in my hand

thanks to the elegant transparent 3d cuboid glass tube

the applicator is my favourite brush that gives precise application of product without leaving it gloppy or streaky

 

outrageous fuschia is a bright purplish maroon colour with tons of pink and silver glitters

it is the most glittery lipgloss in my collection

i saw the colour many times everytime i passed thru dior counters

this colour never appealed to me as something that i might be wearing

in fact i did not want to purchase this colour when i purchased it

i was looking for another colour, a more subtle lilac-pink lipgloss which was out of stock

to my dismay, i bought this colour because i have set my mind to buy a lipgloss on that fateful day

to my surprise, the colour is not as bright as it looks in the tube

it blends well with my natural lip colour and gives a fresh pop of colour

the glitters actually help to tone the colour down

somehow, the silvery glitters make my lips looking glamour and modern

however, so far, i tend to wear this colour to match my pink or purple outfit with purple hue eyeshadow

 

 

i am loving this colour, i think it looks trendy



Chanel Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss 60 Exces

rouge allure extrait de gloss is defined as pure shine intense colour long wear lip gloss

i think, the exact definition should be 'the perfect lipgloss'

this is the best lipgloss formulation that i have found to date

not only it has flawless formulation, the packaging is heavenly as well

 

it comes in shiny opaque black tube which is quite heavy and opulent, dressed with golden chanel logo at the top

it just screams elegance to every eyes that laid upon it

to hold it is just an amazing feeling, let alone to own it

it has beveled, double-sided, flocked applicator which is a genius invention

the amount of product that this applicator picks up is always perfect (at least to my lips)

the application is also very smooth and neat

 

lets talk about the real star, the product itself

the lipgloss is actually thicker than glossimer, but it is more towards gel-like texture

it feels almost like butter when applied on the lips and it leaves my lips feel hydrated for a long period of time

it also gives an instant fullness and sexiness to the lips, thanks to the shine

the colour payoff is great for a lipgloss and it does stay put for very long hours

 

exces is an angry looking red when i first saw it

being a lipgloss girl, i always wear neutral to pink colours on my lips

one fine day i decided to broaden my colour cycle so i decided to find a good red lipgloss

exces is fire-engine red to me

and i thought it would clash with my skintone

i bought it anyway and decided to give it a try

first few times wearing it, i did feel uncomfortable

i felt my lips were disproportionate and demanded every attention possible

but after a few awkwardness, i fell in love with exces

i feel sexier every time i wear it

it glams up my casual look

it gives me a chic feeling

it gives me confidence

and it actually caught people's attention, in a positive way

 

 

 

i am grateful that i picked this baby up

i am grateful that i brave myself to wear this rich colour

if not, it will be a great loss

Chanel Levres Scintillantes Glossimer 166 Amour

  today i am going to share about my first glossimer

glossimers are known to be one of the best lipglosses available in the market currently

being a lipgloss girl myself, i disagree

it is no doubt a great quality lipgloss but i think the tube and the applicator pull the marks down for me

the tube is plasticky and lacks the rich feeling when i hold it

the product tends to run along the wand and makes it look messy eventhough i have not encounter any leaking from the tube

i prefer brush to doe-foot applicator thus another minus mark there

 

however, i found that the actual product is really good

so i decided not to be superficial and ignore its weaknesses

generally glossimers are a bit thick but not sticky which makes it lasts quite long and does not become messy after applied on the lips

they also have lots of glitters which makes it really pretty and adds complexity to its basic colour

 

amour is a really charming lipgloss

it is one of the six lipglosses in the roses ultimate de chanel collection

the colour stood out the most to me

in the tube, it is a warm peachy pink with pink, golden, and silver glitters

on my lips, the colour tends to vary according to lighting

i noticed that when i was under natural light, the colour looked peachy and warm

under artificial lighting, it tends to appear pinkier

however, i always take it as a warm colour and tend to wear it with my favourite green eyeshadow

 

 

i really love this colour because it gives instant warmth and youthfulness to my face

more importantly it gives variation to my lipgloss collection ;)

my story

i grew up as a girl with low self-esteem about my look

i was constantly comparing myself with (and been compared to) my sister who was obviously prettier, fairer, and thinner

she had clear skin too whereas i was having  oily skin and acne problem

i had boys fallen for me, but i didn't believe them

i thought they were mocking me

 

i started to actively doing something to change myself when i was 17

i put myself on diet

i managed to lose 10kg (22 pounds) in a year

i also started to dress up to class

i didn't use any makeup at that time except for powders (no foundation whatsoever), lipbalm, and sheer lipgloss

i had fairly okay skin with occasional breakouts

 

then i was hit hard with bad skin problem when i was 22

i was on the verge of depression

i felt so embarrassed to go out and meet people because of my acne and spots

after my college doctor prescribed me with doxycycline for a few months, my acne stopped, but i was left with black spots all over my face

 

that was the time i started to use Mary Kay skincare products

and all i can say is that they are miraculously great!

my skin improved tremendously

all my black spots were gone

=)

 

and then i started to get interested with makeups

my first brand was Maybelline

i was 25 when i bought my first foundation, mascara, and lipstick

needless to say, my passion grew bigger as i took a step further and bought pencil eyeliner, liquid eyeliner, blush, and more lipsticks

 

today, i'm using Dior and Chanel products

i am more confident and comfortable doing my makeup

of course i do not believe in having heavy makeup, to me they are only tools to enhance our natural beauty

what is more important than that is to have healthy glowing skin beneath in which i am truly grateful for

 

i learn a lot about makeup by watching tutorials in youtube and reading blogs

i admire simple / natural makeups

lisa eldridge is currently my ultimate favourite because she always made it look so easy to apply makeup, yet the results are always so pretty and natural

i'm inspired!

i even teach my sister how to makeup and i'm happy that she is showing interest to look pretty as well, prettier that she is naturally
